nine3 I lose my faith in you An excerpt from "Fin Demonium Razz"
THE END OF THE DEVILS --
a floating opera in one act by Cassandra von Braun

The players rehearse various new endings to "Carmen." It is the most popular opera of all time, but the story climaxes in hideous carnage, which after a hundred years in continuous play seems in desperate need of an update.

They consider playing it like the OJ and Nicole Brown Simpson story, but it still keeps coming out the same. . .

UNTIL . . . I lose my faith in you
Vocal by Leah Macrina
Shaylyn Connor and Taryn Connor, Tanganistas
Aman Mahajan, Piano
Louis Andre Ochoa, Bass

What was it like between him and you
Blood, past knowing what's black, what's blue
The memory of that faint perfume just blends into the haze
It could cool a shotgun heart to rest in your death gaze

[REFRAIN 1]
Nicole, Nicole
Are you gonna get in control
Nicole, Nicole
Mother, got to get some animal control
Are you going to bring the animal under control
Nicole, Nicole
It's too bad to be true
Nicole, Nicole
I lose my faith

[BRIDGE]
Always a babe in the park
And he's so brave when it's dark
Standing in the bushes touching his knife
Waiting for the chance to finish his wife

What was it like between him and you
Dark, past knowing what false, what's true
The photographs they showed to me did not look like you
We wondered when they set him free
Would we know what to do

[REFRAIN 2]
Nicole, Nicole
Are you gonna get in animal control
Nicole, Nicole
It's too bad to be true
Nicole, Nicole
I lose my faith, I lose my faith, I lose my faith
